Saved – to be rescue
When I was doing my research I came across something interesting.
It said… Once a person is saved, he or she is always saved. This is called “Eternal Doctrine”, but we know this is wrong. Some religions may believe this but we as Christians know that once we saved, its hard work to live a life without sin..
So how can we make sure that we our saved? We must except Jesus as Our Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
An because we are saved, does not mean we can boost about ourselves. If anything, talk about what God has done for you.
Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Doing good deeds will not get you into heaven! I have talk to some people who believe that good deeds will. What a shame. They will be in for a big surprise. Then it will be to late. It clearly says in the verse above that it will not.
So what is our goal for being saved? “Eternal Life”
John 5:24 (NIV)
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
I’m glad I’m saved. Are you? How bout your friends and family?
Do you know someone who doesn’t know the Lord Jesus Christ? Talk to them, see if they are interested in going church and learning about God.
YOU MIGHT JUST SAVE SOMEONE! AMEN
