“God’s Kingdom”

“God’s Kingdom”

Matthew 6:10-13 (ESV)
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

This is a great way to start this message with the Lord’s prayer, cause it talks about your “Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Matthew 16:19 (ESV)
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Wow! Now I know you might be a little confuse by the last part. But, this is what that means.

In the syntax of the Greek text for Matthew 16:19, makes the meaning clear. What you bind on Earth , will have already been bound in Heaven. What you loose on Earth will already been loose in Heaven. In Other Words, Jesus in Heaven loosens the authority of His word as it goes forth on earth for the fulfillment of its purpose.

Matthew 5:10 (NIV)
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

So don’t be afraid to get out there and speak up. You don’t want to lose you keys to your kingdom.

Acts 28:31 (ESV)
31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

(By definition a “hindrance” is generally anything that obstructs, stops, or retards progress, anything that blocks or inhabits us from receiving what is rightfully ours especially through the Word of God and by the Blood of Jesus.)

There are so many people out there who don’t know about the Lord Jesus Christ, and are willing to learn that is where we come in. So don’t hold back.

By going out and teaching people, it will give such peace, and joy in your heart, and make God so happy.

Romans 14:17 (ESV)
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

An at the end, the is a wonderful kingdom waiting for you. A kingdom where there is no more pain or suffering.

Revelation 21:1-4 (NIV)
A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

“Struggling with Addiction”

“Struggling with Addiction”

Struggling with any kind of addiction is hard to do.

There is lots of addictions out there. But, here is a few to name of…. alcohol, drugs, and even sex can be addictive.

Galatians 5:21 (NIV)
21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

These things are not good. They will bring the un-godly like you know who.. (The Devil).

1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Don’t let the devil devour you. You are stronger than that. You have Jesus on your side.

Romans 13:14 (NIV) 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

See you can be happy with the Lord Jesus Christ, you do not need desires of the flesh to make you happy. Don’t let your body tell you other wise.

James 1:12 (NIV)
12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

See you can stand up to the trail of any addiction, why? Cause you have the Lord Jesus Christ!

Each day, God gives a start of a new day. Every morning when we get up is it going to be the same, or is it going to be different?

What kind of choices are we going to have to make today? Cause they are never the same.

There are going to be a lot of choices to make during a day. Like even the simplest thing of what to eat or drink.

1Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)
31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Everything we do… we should do it for the glory of God.
An with each new day we are going to have many temptations. Thanks to God He will always provide a way out.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

God is so faithful, not to let us bear more than we can endure.
As Christians… we try to make it our goal to please God in everything we do. Sometimes that is hard to do.

2 Corinthians 5:9 (ESV)
9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

There will always be more choices and more challenges, each and every day. No day will ever be the same. That is why you have to live each day to the fullest, and make the right choice for you and your family.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV)
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

Life can be such a blessing from God. That is way He gives us choices. What we do with those is up to you. Following God is the right choice.

Here is a poem called “Choices” out of my book (God Is Speaking)
God, always gives us choices,
to do right or wrong.
But, what you do with those
choices is up to you.
Following God is the right choice,
make that choice and see where
He leads You.

(Faith) – Noun
1. Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

2. Strong belief in God or doctrines of a
religion, based on spiritual apprehension
rather than proof.

What is faith? Faith is knowing whatever you are going through, you know GOD is right there too helping you.

Psalm 22:19 (NIV)
19 But you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.

You may not think He is there, but that is what Faith is all about. An with faith you can do anything.

Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

God is the one that gives us strength. You can’t see him but you know He’s there.

So if you are in need of something? And you pray about it, it says it shall be answer, if you have faith.

Matthew 21:22 (ESV)
22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

We all have hope, that God will answer, and give us strength while were waiting.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

This is a great saying to focus on. AMEN

Here is a quote from DaveWillis.org
“Faith isn’t a feeling. It’s a choice to trust God even when the road ahead seems uncertain.”

“What Kind of Person Are You?”

The Bible teaches us that as long as we confess our sins we will be forgiven, but there are still people who aren’t’ quite sure of the word, who like to procrastinate, and have a hard time forgiving people.

Are you one of those people?

As a procrastinator we tend to put off things, that shouldn’t be put off and that could help other people as well.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Colossians 4:5 (NIV)
5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

Being nice to people, and making the most of your time, things will come your way, and that’s because you didn’t sit around and procrastinate, you got up and did something.

What about forgiving?

Has someone hurt you? Made you mad, so mad, that you think that it’s unforgivable.

Matthew 6:15 (NIV)
15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Just like this verse says, Our Heavenly Father forgave us, so why can’t you forgive that person or person’s for what they did to you. It is never good to let something go on amongst friends, or family. It can make you sick and cause health problems.

Luke 6:37 (NIV)
Judging Others
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

(Here is a poem I wrote called “People”, this is where I got my idea for this wks message)

What kind of person are you?

Are you a person, in a wheelchair who
needs Gods help.

Are you a person, who doesn’t believe in
God but should.

Are you a hard working person, who doesn’t
think you have time for God.

Whatever kind of person you are, you should
always make time for God.

Because He is in control.

This is out of my book called: God Is Speaking…Can You Hear Him.

“Waiting On God”

Waiting on God can be so hard when you are in pain, and waiting surgery. Not sure when that date will be, cause of other circumstances. Patience is the key with God.

Psalm 37:7 (NIV)
7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

Whatever your situation is…. you have to be strong and know God is working on a plan to resolve it for you. It’s hard I know, but in heart there’s a little voice telling you I’m right here. That little voice is God.

Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)
18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

So by waiting on God with patience, he will show you compassion in the long run you just have to wait. HE LOVES YOU AND CARES WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE, THE PAIN AND SORROWS.

Psalm 25:5 (NIV)
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

I will wait for your answers. I know your timing is perfect. You know the pain I’m in and you know who else needs you. You have the whole world in your hands.
